'I'm getting back with my ex': Cheap boyfriend breaks up with woman after he makes her pay for everything, she gets even by donating all of his precious fabrics to a local seamstress

Breakups are never easy, but when you're able to donate your "revenge plan" to a good cause, at least you've figured out a way for someone to benefit from all the drama. After a series of dates with her new cheap boyfriend in which he always had a random excuse for why he couldn't pay the dinner bill, this woman discovered that on top of it all, this cheap date was nowhere near being over his ex. 

Now, this would not be the first time we've come across a story where someone has backpedaled into a previous relationship. Of course, no one wants to be the person who provides the clarity to their partner that they need to go back to what they had before. It's one thing to be told that your relationship isn't working, but it's quite another when the reason why is that your partner wants to get back together with the person who existed long before you. 

In this instance, this author was totally taken aback by her boyfriend's confession that he wanted to make his previous relationship work. However, you cannot argue that this lady did not take those tears and turn them into action. As Ariana Grande once said, she had no tears left to cry. Instead, she picked herself up and decided to enact some special petty revenge that just so happened to involve her ex's obsession with a niche kind of fabric.

  • Yes, before their breakup, the author's then boyfriend revealed his plans to buy up a special kind of fabric that was difficult to find but was on sale at their local fabric store. He had been saving up, since this wasn't exactly a guy who was financially stable. The author managed to use that knowledge to her advantage. She bought up all that fabric before her ex was able to get it, and although she didn't know what she could do with it all, she found a local seamstress who could make good use of it. That's what you get, sir!

  • A couple years ago I was dating this guy that was a really good partner until he wasn't. Money management wasn't his strong suit. For the last 5-6 dates, he kept "coming up short" when the bill came, so I'd cover it. On our last date, he says, "If you'll buy again tonight, when my check hits next week I'll take you to a super nice dinner." Sure, fine.
